A Functioning Cog

I’m not one to care about how many followers I have or anything, but I’m so close to two milestones that I’ve set myself a goal.

Today is August 1st, and my birthday is August 30th.

My goal is to get my main blog (teenlaqueefah) and my sideblog (mxrghulis) to 200 and 50 followers, respectively.

I don’t know why I’m telling you guys this, ‘cause you already follow me, but just letting you all know.

I don’t know how to end this text post.

It’ll end like this.

So I was facepainting my kids today, and the little one said that he wanted to look crunchy. I stared at him, then he scrunched up his face, and I realized he meant wrinkly. He sAID CRUNCHY. OH MY GOD. OLD PEOPLE ARE CRUNCHY.

Happy birthday, Harry Potter!

To celebrate Harry’s birthday (and my undying love for the series), I made my own covers! I created patterns (Thanks for the inspiration Scandinavia!) using a significant object from each book. I used those in the movies as reference and digitally painted them. You can view the whole project here! :)

(It’s already July 31 here in the Philippines. Haha.)

I’ve been thinking about something Dumbledore said to me. That even though we’ve got a fight ahead of us, we’ve got one thing that Voldemort doesn’t have. Something worth fighting for.

A for Art

A logo for the Philadelphia Museum of Art has has been designed by Pentagram’s Paula Scher.

Aiming to put ‘art’ front and centre, it features a flexible initial A that can customised to show off the museum’s collection of 227,000 items. The Museum’s typeface Avenir is customized for the new configuration.

The identity overhaul coincides with the unveiling of plans for a renewal and expansion of the Museum by architect Frank Gehry.
